My interest in combat arts started when I was 19 years old. I was a first year electrician's apprentice and ome day on the job, I caught the attention of a woman whose jealous boyfriend attempted to attack me and I knocked him out. A co-worker saw the whole thing said I was a natural, and suggested I train in boxing.
I started training in boxing and progressed very well. The demands of the Apprenticeship program required so much of my time, that I had to leave boxing and focus on my livelihood.
I was a big fan of martial arts, especially after seeing the movie, The Last Dragon. Years later, in June of 2016 a friend of mine told me about Takeo-Ryu Goshin Jitsu and Master Ken Keith. I went to check the class out, met Master Ken Keith his students and recognized right away that this is where I can achieve my martial arts goals. I am developing combat skills and discipline that will help me to balance my aggressive nature in self-defense situations.
It is amazing how humbling thorough preparation to dominate a would-be attacker can be.
I recommend Takeo-ryu Goshin Jitsu to everyone who understands that having these skills and not needing them is far better needing these skills and not having them.
